A Week of Firsts

This week I had lots of 'Firsts'. The First week of school, the First Katy Tiger Football Game, my First Baby Shower, and the dreaded First Stretch Mark. Oh, and was it an exhausting week.

Monday was the First Day of School. It was a good day. My Classes seem to be good, although they are changing everyday with schedule changes.

Saturday marked the First Katy Tiger Football Game. We played the undefeated (in the regular season) Northshore Mustangs. Although, the game was full of fumbles and mistakes by both teams, the Tigers prevailed with a 7 to 9 win. A great way to start off a new (long) season. Looks like those Tigers are State Bound once again. We are going for a three-peat this year!

The First Dreaded Stretch Mark...I am now loading up on the stretch mark cream. Hopefully no more will show up.
Sunday was my First Baby Shower. Oh, what fun it was! I got lots of goodies for "O" and now I am even more anxious for his arrival. Here are a couple of pics of the events!

The Bump Pics

On Friday morning I had maternity pictures taken. I have been going back and forth whether or not I really wanted to take the momentous pictures of my ever growing belly. Finally, after looking at several friends pics I decided that it was a must.

I searched online to find a perfect photographer to take the pics, but I was having a hard time finding one that I thought would be perfect for the job. After a post on facebook, a fellow teacher at my school reminded me that he takes pictures...and so the pics were scheduled.

I have to say that I think the pics turned out to be great! Take a look at Rob's website and look at his work. It's amazing!

Here are a few teasers of what is yet to come...

Frogs it is!

It looks like the majority of the votes leads to Frogs! Although, I am sure that there will be some monkeys in there as well! I am still on the search for the perfect mobile for the crib, so if you see one that matches the room let me know! (Beth knows how much I like to stick to a theme!)

Frogs, Monkeys, or Both?

We are trying to decide what animals to help decorate Owen's Room. I have always been a BIG fan of Frogs, but recently I have seen so many things with cute Monkeys. So we are at a crossroads. Should we decorate with Frogs, Monkeys, or Both? Take our poll and help us decide!

The Bumper and the 30th

I started working on the bumper for Owen's room 2 weeks ago, but my sewing machine did not want to work. So, Matt and I stayed up to 2 in the morning one night trying to fix it. At that point I was ready to give up and send it off to my mom and "let" her do it. I even called and told her I was sending it off to her.

This last weekend Jennifer, Beth, and Graham came to help me celebrate my dreaded 30th birthday on Saturday. Jennifer also brought along her sewing machine so that I could once again could give the bumper a try.

When it was time for Jennifer to leave on Sunday morning the bumper was not finished, but she left her sewing machine. After putting it together and ripping it apart again and again here is the finished product. It's by no means perfect...but it's done!

O's Room

UPDATE: We added some dots and shelves on the wall to O's room. Here are a couple of pics of our progress!

This Friday Matt and I started to work on Owen's room. Here are some pictures of our progress! Although, it is no where near finished!

Measuring to put up the letters and putting the first letter.

The changing table/dresser will go here.

Bookshelf we looked all day for.

Soon this will be full of pictures!

We haven't decided if we will put more dots on this wall yet...

We also plan on putting the glider here.

Twenty Weeks and Counting

Today I had my 20 week ultrasound. "O" is definitely a boy! His heartbeat was a strong 145 and he is weighing about 13 ounces. Here are some of the pics taken today.
